Joe's Story
Joe began his career as an engineer, contributing to significant infrastructural projects in Africa and the UK. Working with diverse teams and cultures sparked a deep interest in people's experiences and aspirations, leading him to explore the field of counselling and guidance.
In 1991, Joe completed a postgraduate diploma in Counselling & Guidance at the University of Reading. He initially worked as a counsellor with individuals overcoming drug dependency, helping them find alternatives to dependency and directionless lives. In 1996, he pursued a professional postgraduate diploma in Career Guidance to focus on educational and career decision-making.
In 1997, Joe joined his father, Tom Casey, to establish Casey Careers Consultancy. Based in the sunny South-East of Ireland, their clients came from counties Wexford, Kilkenny, Waterford, Carlow, and beyond. Since then, he has provided one-on-one guidance to over 3,000 students and adults from all across Ireland and the UK.
Success Stories

Joe, Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks very much for your work with Sarah. She found the session to be hugely beneficial, and I think you’ve validated a lot of issues that she has been battling with regarding her ‘destiny’ over the coming years. I’ve not seen her as definite in her thinking for a long time, so that’s a real result as far as we are concerned. Thanks again for such a worthwhile and positive experience.
I want to take this opportunity to express our extreme thanks to you on the amazing turnaround in Michael’s attitude and work rate since our meeting with you. He has been absolutely committed to his studies and did not shirk from his task one bit. If one could turn back the clock 9 months, the same young man would not be recognizable. For all this , both P and I are very grateful. Thank you for inspiring Michael, and restoring our faith in the education system.
