"I was delighted with my results. I got my first choice and my place in university so I’m very happy with that. Thank you very much for your helpful advice and guidance. I have now started my B.Ed. course, and I am also studying English and German as my academic subjects. I feel it will be a very interesting course and I’m looking forward to my few years here. Thank you again for helping with my college choices. It all worked out perfectly in the end!"

Frequently Asked Questions
Your Questions Answered.
We offer one-off consultations, education & career and personal development programmes, follow up sessions and ongoing/recurring mentorship. The programmes usually involve 4 or 7 stages and can include presentations, questionnaires and assessment tools and face to face meetings
Yes; membership of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors, and licenced/certified to use the MIDAS and Morrisby Profiles.
The most frequent reason stated by students for leaving a course was a mismatch between themselves and their course (withdrawal from college - study conducted by T.C.D.). In other words students did not know enough about the course or had a poor understanding of what was involved. Poor choice is often about a failure by students to understand the content of their course, what it involves on their behalf and what it leads to, with decisions based on scant course and career information. With our help you will;- attain a greater depth of knowledge about your self so you can make better choices; become more skilful at investigating your options, routes and career direction; gain a clearer picture of the skills you enjoy the most or those you'd like to acquire; identify the learning you like, with routes to qualifications which will express your preferences, so you can choose what you'll find most stimulating, productive and something you love.
In-person meetings and teleguidance via phone or video chat; all one-to-one, private & confidential.
The MIDAS is a self-assessment to help you understand your intellectual and creative life, your thinking strengths, how you think and solve problems in school & life as you grow and change. The Morrisby Profile is designed to assess your aptitude strengths, your aspirations & career interests, priorities (like money, security, altruism etc), study interests, personality (how you act & behave when solving problems). These assessments are all done in your own time, online on your own computer/pad. They're all designed for large populations of people and are just tools to help with your choices & decisions.
Short checklists that are easily available on the internet are not valid or reliable. Psychometrics are generally scientifically validated tools. We use a variety of these in the form of questionnaires and aptitude assessments which are designed to help you better understand your-self, your strengths & skills, your interests & experiences so you can make better choices - you can use these 'power tools' to make a big difference in your own world. They help you identify your interests, strengths & skills, what's important to you and suggest courses and careers which you might match your preferences.
